Calendar Donkeys wanted !!! 4 Mar 2010

Enter your pictures for the 2010 Donkey Breed Society Official Calendar.  Entires will be accepted right round to July 2010 giving you plenty of time for some spectacular photo opportunities as we progress through the year.  The final twelve will be selected in August by popular vote on-line.

Walk, Ride or Drive in Northern Ireland 3 Apr 2010

Starting off at 1.00pm from Chestnut Road, Ballynahinch;  walking, riding or driving to Ballykine and back. Lunch will be provided.

Long Reining Training Day 3 Apr 2010

          1. Long Reining - all aspects to be covered
  • What do I need?
  • How do I start?
  • How do I improve?
  • How do I long rein pairs, tandems and maybe a troika (3 donkeys!)
           2. Confidence boosting - challenges and obstacles
 
Does you donkey find puddles difficult, drains a no-go and flapping bags out to kill? 
A chance to quietly work with your donkey on building confidence to deal with these challenges.

Join us with or without your own donkey!!

We are also really grateful to the Wilton RDA for the use of their superb indoor facilities for this training event.
The RDA ask for a donation for the use of the facilities; and all participants are asked to make a contribution.
