Most donkey owners rely on a trailer for their means of transport to and from the vets, shows and other events - it is easy to forget that they need maintaining just like the car and so now might be a good time to check brakes, tyres and towing linkages. If you are the owner of a wooden floored trailer then it is also very important to check it for general wear and tear and in particular rotting timbers; fitting a new double skinned floor is not a monumental task and much better than having your beloved donkey sustaining serious damage when the floor fails.
