GLOUCESTERSHIRE DONKEY WALK

Sunday 25th July 2010
At Miserden Estate, Gloucestershire by kind permission of Major Tom Wills
(1 mile off A417 6 miles Cirencester)

Parking at Gaskell Farm, Winstone
Meet at 10.30 am for 11.00 am start


Walk through beautiful woodland for approximately 40 mins to a doughnut, lemonade and carrot stop beside a lake; then walk onwards for a further 40 minutes to Carpenter?s Arms at Miserden for lunch.  Baguettes, baked potatoes, soup, sandwiches available to purchase or bring a picnic

Hitching rail for the donkeys and hay nets can be transported by car

After lunch, a quick visit to the very special local church at Miserden

Walk 30 mins to Sue and Andrew Bowden?s home, Washbrook Cottage, for tea and then 20 mins back to Gaskell Farm

All walking on estate lanes, wide grass verges and fields.  It is slightly undulating in places but we will walk at donkey pace

Children and dogs welcome and car transport will be available for those who cannot walk distances

Donations to the Webster Fund, which provides financial support to donkeys who work with children with special needs
