It has taken over 40 years to establish ourselves in the Equine Showing world with some 80 provincial shows currently affiliating and receiving our society awards.
The most prestigious of these awards is qualification by the individual Champion at each of these affiliated shows, or where that donkey has previously qualified elsewhere, the Reserve Champion, for the approriate championship at the Society Supreme Championship Show, held in August each year.
The Shows and Judges Committee are responsible for identifying and training our panel of dedicated donkey judges and ensuring that their donkey knowledge and judging codes of cunduct are kept up to date through seminars and training days.
Judges who have a presence on other recognised equine in hand or driving panels are invited to apply for a 'Fast Track' training day which would quailify them for a lsting on a Donkey Breed Society Judges panel should contact: societysecretary@donkeybreedsociety.co.uk
Similarly a judging panel is never so large that it cannot be ehanced with 'new blood' and if you feel that you have donkey/equine knowledge that would help you fulfill the role of judge, then training courses are held as required and a series of probationary appointments with qualified judges can be arranged annually, contact: societysecretary@donkeybreedsociety.co.uk
